Hi, I am Yining Zhang. I am a researcher interested in the intersection of learning, teaching, and technology. I received a B.A. in English Literature from Tsinghua University, Beijing, an M.A. in International Comparative Education from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Education Technology from Michigan State University.
My primary research interests focus on the design, development, and teaching of the engaging, collaborative, and interactive online learning communities that can generate deep, meaningful, and innovative learning. In addition, I also investigate the role of effective learning strategies and adaptive motivational profiles that can maximize learning outcomes.
I expertise in online teaching and learning, instructional design, technology education in teacher preparation, and computer-assisted language learning (CALL). I teach both face-to-face and online courses related with technology preparation for pre-service teachers, pedagogy, and learning theories at Michigan State.
